Dramatic scenery and remarkable wildlife

Namibia is perfect road trip territory. Our favourite destination for the last few years, its bumpy gravel tracks carry you through dramatic natural scenery and big vistas.

In just a couple of weeks we hiked through the eerie pans of Sossusvlei, took a 4×4 over towering dunes to the crashing Atlantic surf and explored the barren wilderness of the Skeleton Coast.

And lurking in this desolate wilderness is a plethora of wildlife, which the country is striving to preserve. We saw vast herds gathering at waterholes, learnt about cheetahs being rehabilitated for the wild and tracked black rhino with anti-poaching police.

Fortunately Namibia is very safe to visit, and driving is part of the adventure. So here’s all you need to know for your own, once in a lifetime, trip to this beautiful country.
