Museums and monuments; cafes & bars; from old town charm to sprawling sky-scrappers, these are the cities that fascinate us.

People have been migrating to cities en masse for the last 200 years. It is predicted that by 2050 about 64% of the developing world and 86% of the developed world will be urbanised. In these urbanised worlds, museums and monuments honour the past; while cafes, bars and restaurants change on a regular basis. Some cities are a hotbed of energy and life, while others are being pulled begrudgingly into the modern world.

We love exploring cities with an oddball edge. A quirky neighbourhood, a regenerated industrial area or thriving underground art scene. Most of all, we love a city with a good coffee culture. An old town with a historical backstory beside a modern city with unusual bars and on-trend places to eat – now you’re talking.

Give us a city with historical context, rooftop bars, fusion food, modern art, diverse neighbourhoods and friendly people and we could happily explore until our feet were sore and bruised.
